日本东北大学Masahiro Yamashita(山下正广)教授做客我校“理学之美”名师论坛
12月1日上午,来自日本东北大学的M. Yamashita(山下正广)教授做客我校“理学之美”名师讲坛,在理化楼401为化生师生带来了题为《New Quantum Molecular Spintronics Based on Single-Molecule Magnets》(基于单分子磁体的新型量子分子自旋电子学)的精彩报告。报告由边永忠教授主持,王天宇教授等参加本次报告。
M. Yamashita教授结合自身的实践经验和科研成果,阐述了他在单分子磁性量子分子自旋电子学方面作出的卓越贡献,并着重介绍了单分子磁体的Kondo效应,巨磁阻(GMR),隧道磁阻(TMR),场效应晶体管(FET)等。在此基础上M. Yamashita教授还在深入探索单分子磁性材料的合成以及如何提高之后的温度等方向,这在新材料研究领域的前景很大。M. Yamashita教授就在场师生的提问进行详细解答,为新进入科研领域的同学提出指导性的建议。
M. Yamashita教授以深厚的科研功底、深入浅出的讲解、风趣幽默的言谈赢得了在场师生的热烈掌声。
M. Yamashita教授简介
Masahiro Yamashita, Chairman and Professor at Department of Chemistry, Tohoku University, received his Ph.D in Coordination Chemistry from Kyushu University in 1982. From 1983 to 1987, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Kyushu University. From 1987 to 1998, he worked as an Associate Professor at Nagoya University. From 1999 to 2004, he worked as a full Professor at Tokyo Metropolit an University. From 2004, he is a full Professor at Tohoku University.
His main research interests are in the following three areas:
(1)Multi-Functional Single-Molecule Quantum Magnets and Single-Chain Quantum Magnets
(2)Gigantic Third-Order Optical Nonlinearity in Nano-Wire Coordination Compounds with Strong Electron-Correlation
(3)Hybrid Coordination Compounds with Electrical Conductivities and Magnetic Properties.
